Thank you for considering donating furniture to GraceGuard. Using this form helps us provide you with the best quality service and a rapid response time. Before filling it out, please note that photos are required at the bottom of the form.

Thank you for choosing to donate to GraceGuard! We appreciate your support and are excited to accept a variety of items that align with our mission of sustainability and community empowerment. Here’s what we’re currently accepting:

Furniture: We welcome contemporary, vintage, and antique furniture that is in excellent condition.

Apparel: Clean clothing items, kindly packed in plastic garbage bags.

Accessories and Shoes: These should be neatly boxed or bagged.

Antiques and Art: Unique pieces that add character and history.

Decorative Items: To add charm to any space.

Fabric: Clean and reusable fabric materials.

Housewares: Ensure these are clean and properly packed in boxes.

Jewelry: From classic to contemporary styles.

Lamps and Lighting Fixtures: To brighten up homes sustainably.

Rugs: Clean rugs up to 6’x9′ are accepted, with occasional exceptions for larger sizes.

Unusual Finds: Anything unique and intriguing that could find a new home.

Books: Up to 4 boxes (12″x 12″ max per box) – for corporate, rare, and large book collections, please contact us directly hello@graceguard.org

We are grateful for your contributions, which help us continue our work in reducing furniture waste and supporting our communities. Please ensure all donations are in good, usable condition, reflecting our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Items We’re Unable to Accept

At GraceGuard, we strive to provide the best for our community. However, there are certain items we cannot accept, including:

Compromised Furniture: Items that aren’t structurally sound, have surface damage, excessive stains, fading, tears, or pet hair.

Incomplete Furniture: Pieces missing essential parts like shelves, doors, castors, legs, or cushions.

Select Office Furniture: Unfortunately, we are unable to accept most office furniture items.

Certain Bed Items: This includes bedframes (with some exceptions), mattresses, box springs, futons, and day beds.

Oversized Tables & Cabinets: We generally cannot take items exceeding 8 feet in dimensions, although there may be some exceptions.

Outdated Media Stands/Cabinets: These are often not in demand.

Damaged Kitchenware: This includes any dishware or glassware that is broken or chipped.

Baby/Children’s Items and Toys: Items like cribs, changing tables, high chairs, etc., and toys or stuffed animals, unless they are new and in unopened packages.

Household and Large Appliances: Used small appliances (like coffeemakers, humidifiers, irons) and large appliances (such as dishwashers, ovens, refrigerators) are not accepted.

Medical and Exercise Equipment: Due to specific requirements and safety concerns, we cannot accept these items.

Personal Care Items: Items like hair dryers, hairbrushes, and cosmetics are not accepted.

For sofas, we would need to know the age of the piece. If the sofa is a sectional, how many pieces does it come in? Are there any stains, discolorations, fading or pet damage on the items? If possible, please provide photos of the front, side & back of the couch.

If there are any wooden pieces listed in the donation, we would need to know if the piece is made of solid wood. Are there any scratches, water marks or stains on the wood? Is the piece sturdy.

If there is a table, cabinet or bookshelf listed, please provide the dimensions of the items. If there are chairs included in the donation, please confirm if they are sturdy and please provide photos of both sides of the chair and the legs.

* Do any of the pieces need to be taken apart to get it out of the location? Is there a freight elevator in the building and are there any steps leading out to the street?
